The Bard Sparkling Pinot Noir

The Bard range pays tribute to one of Australia’s most celebrated lyric poets, John Shaw Neilson, who grew up in the cottage on the Hollick Neilson’s Block vineyard. Born in Penola in 1872, Neilson is highly regarded among literary circles, and it’s believed that much of the vivid imagery in his poetry was inspired by his childhood in the swampy bushland around Coonawarra.

Coonawarra’s long, cool growing season and the region’s famous Terra Rossa soils over limestone make it a great place for producing high-quality sparkling wines. Hollick has been crafting sparkling whites since 1988, with the style evolving each year depending on how the fruit develops in the vineyard.
