The Bard Chardonnay 2024 – DOZEN

The BARD range celebrates the work of Australia’s best-known lyric poet John Shaw Neilson who was raised in the cottage on the Hollick Neilson’s Block vineyard. Revered by his peers in the world of literature, Neilson was born in Penola in 1872, and it is thought that much of the imagery in his poems was conjured up during his childhood experiences in the swampy bushland around Coonawarra.

The 2024 vintage in Coonawarra saw superb conditions and fruit of outstanding quality and quantity being harvested. The Chardonnay was harvested in the first week of March, the fruit arriving in pristine condition, showing exceptional varietal characters. The white wines from 2024 are looking fresh and vibrant displaying excellent varietal definition.
