This globetrotting and truly quite legendary Australian show continues to tour the world – and it’s coming to Hollick in March for one night only!
Waited upon by Basil, Sybil and Manuel, this is fully immersive, highly improvised and site-specific comedy theatre at its best. Only one third of the show scripted, so anything can happen as you take a seat in the 'Fawlty Towers' restaurant… Expect all the best gags, shambolic service and a ‘70s style 3-course meal in ‘a hilarious battle of wits, patience, fire extinguishers and fine food’ (Australian Traveller magazine, Sydney Opera House). Just don’t mention the war! Internationally acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience was born in Brisbane in 1997 and made its international debut in 2008 at the Edinburgh Fringe, where it’s sold out every year since. It opened a residency in London’s West End in October 2012 and continues there still. Eight teams of cast now tour the world non-stop. The cast for Hollick Wines features Jordan Edmeades as Basil, Lara Dignam as Sybil, and Geoffrey Reczek as Manuel – find out more about them on the Actors page at www.interactivetheatre.com.au

Renowned wine critic James Halliday recently reviewed a number of current-release Hollick wines. Hollick are thrilled to share with you some very favourable reviews, which can be found on the Wine Companion website.
The 2010 Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon scored an outstanding 96 points from Halliday.
"A selection of the best parts of the vineyard is the correct starting point in my view, and here fully justified 18 months maturation in new French barriques. Has retained excellent crimson-purple colour; this is a distinguished medium to full-bodied wine, as complex as it is long, its black fruits easily handling the oak and tannins."
Halliday also scored the 2010 Wilgha Shiraz an impressive 93 points.
"Partial fermentation and maturation for 18 months in new French oak has added to both the flavour and texture of the medium to full-bodied palate; morello and black cherry team with enjoyable spice and mocha flavours."
Not to be overlooked, the 2012 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon performed exceptionally well achieving a score of 94 points.
"Medium crimson-purple; well balanced and composed, with an expressive cassis-accented bouquet and fore-palate, then earthy regional tannins provide complexity, texture and length, oak evident but in balance."
Other fantastic Hollick Halliday reviews this year include the 2012 Bond Road Chardonnay which scored 91 points, and 2013 The Nectar which scored 90 points. *Please note 2013 The Nectar is not currently available for purchase - The 2012 Nectar (current release) scored 91 points in last years Wine Companion.

Last but not least, Hollick Wines achieved a 5-star winery rating from Halliday!!!!
"Awarded to outstanding wineries capable of producing wines of very high quality, and did so this year. Also will usually have at least two wines rated at 94 or above."
Hollick chef Matt Dinnison has put together an inviting new menu for the coming cooler months!
The menu features delicious seasonal produce such as Watson's grass fed lamb, Wrattonbully and Kalangadoo apples, Hillbilly Farm cauliflowers, and a selection of cheeses from the Limestone Coast Cheese Company (just to name a few!). Ingredients are also sourced from our very own Wilgha farm!
Dessert lovers won't be disappointed with the range of stunning sweet treats on offer - our favourite, the espresso and vanilla bean panna cotta served with Belgian chocolate ganache and caramelized white chocolate ice cream!
All dishes have been perfectly matched to the Hollick range of wines. The new menu can be downloaded here. Restaurant bookings can be made by phoning 08 8737 2752.
Please note, the restaurant will close for staff annual leave on Monday, August 4th, and will reopen Wednesday 27th August.
Hollick Vineyard Manager Stuart Sharam was over the moon when our brand new state-of-the-art FMR R-Series Sprayer arrived at the winery last week!
Aside from being an "operators dream" as Stuart puts it, the purchase of a new vineyard sprayer reflects Hollick's commitment to adopting best environmental management practices and to minimise our carbon footprint where possible.
A big advantage of the R-Series spray system is spray drift minimisation; the new machine is capable of capturing and recycling up to 90 percent of spray. Results are more consistent through improved spray accuracy and ability to deliver more spray where required.
Its estimated Hollick will reduce chemical expenditure by approximately 30-40% each year with the new unit. The two row machine also ensures any vineyard issues can be attended to in a timely fashion.
