ext renNot even the freezing cold Coonawarra weather could dampen our excitement in sharing with you that Hollick Wines are releasing a NEW-LOOK EXOTIC RANGE! What's even more exciting is that the VERY FIRST LABEL in the new range has just arrived!

Before we introduce you to the hot new Hollick, we bet you're wondering why the Exotic range has had a makeover? These wines were launched with traditional Hollick labels which may not have represented their true expression. In keeping with the fun & adventurous nature of this range, we thought it was time to introduce some personality. Over the next 12 months we'll be releasing five, fabulous new labels. For those of you who already adore our Exotics, don't despair! You can expect the same marvellous wines, just in shiny new packaging.

And now, the moment you've been waiting for......


Hollick's much-loved Sangiovese Cabernet blend is finally back! But this time with a brand new name, and brand new look.  We are thrilled to introduce the very first release from our new-look exotic range.... THE RENEGADE!

The Renegade recognises the rebels of Tuscany who dared plant Cabernet Sauvignon to be blended with the traditional Sangiovese.  A soft drinkable wine with savoury hints of black olives and spice, a style which not so long ago was forbidden in its own backyard.

The rolling hills and stony limestone soil of the Hollick Wrattonbully Vineyard mimics Tuscan soil, and has proven to be a fantastic site for growing Sangiovese. Optimal growing conditions saw an excellent 2013 harvest & have contributed to the beautiful fruit flavours & balanced acidity in this release.

Faulty Towers Fun!

Major Hollick Wines event, Faulty Towers - The Dining Experience was recently held in the Hollick Barrel Shed .... And what a show it was!!! Guests were treated to the full Fawlty experience... from the menu & table setting....right through to the service from staff (quite different to dinner at Upstairs at Hollick we might add!). A fantastic night, with plenty of laughs thanks to superb performances from Basil, Sybil & Manuel.

Vintage 2015

pinot noirAfter a warm, dry summer, Vintage 2015 at Hollick Wines commenced earlier than most (on Feb 17th). Fortunately, March has brought cooler weather. In particular, overnight temperatures in Coonawarra & Wrattonbully dropped, which has lowered average temperatures - Perfect Vintage conditions! Our grapes have been able to ripen gradually, and develop those fantastic flavours we are famous for!  At this rate - V15 is set to be a cracker!!!

The Hollick Vineyard Team finished picking the white grapes early last week, with Savagnin being the lucky last through the crusher!  As for the reds, the last of the Wrattonbully Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & Sangiovese came off on Thursday, and we are now back in Coonawarra picking Wilgha & Ravenswood.
